They are the definition of high school sweethearts. They met at a high school pep-rally. Tyler was sitting with mutual friends when Julia walked up + told him she liked his pep-rally costume. Tyler began to pick on Julia, but you know in the “I like you, but I don’t want to tell you” sort of way. Julia walked away furious + told him never to speak to her again.
The following night at the Homecoming dance, Tyler found Julia and asked her dance. She agreed, but hoped that she would scare him off with her ridiculous dance moves. Yet, as she began her infamous shopping cart dance, he started adding items to her invisible cart right along side her. They spent the rest of the evening dancing the night away + Tyler even stole Julia a plastic Oscar statue.
Before the night was over, they took a photo together + Tyler asked for her number so he could send it to her (how smooth is he?) From then on, and I can confirm this since I was part of the match-making process, they obsessed over each other until their group of friends made Julia flip a penny to decide who would tell whom it was official.
Julia ended up texting Tyler: “We are a thing now, okayy? Cool beans…” and the rest is history!
I can certainly attest that they complete each other in the best possible ways. And we are so thankful to have been part of their GORGEOUS September wedding in Cumberland, Virginia!
Julia has been waiting since she was FOUR years old to wear this gorgeous Aquamarine family heirloom ring! I’d say it was well worth the wait!
